The babies have left the nest at last.They both took their first tentative flight a couple of days ago and flew to the fence.
Both looked a bit like they had had a few vodkas, they were so wonky but they managed to get up onto the fence without too much drama.Today I spotted them both on our front lawn picking around looking for food. Mum was keeping a close eye on them from the electrical wires overhead.
There is time for another lot of eggs to hatch out before winter. I'm not sure if they will go for it again but the nest is still there, just a bit of housekeeping and it'll be ready for another family.
